HUDSON — The Community Preservation Committee denied funding for Moulton's Park renovation. The Park Commission requested $5.3 million for a three-year project to renovate the park and playground; Linda Ghiloni moved against funding, citing the committee's limited resources. The cheapest of three proposed options cost $2.4 million but would still only provide a partial playground and reduced parking.
The motion passed on a 4-0 vote, with one member abstaining. The committee's Community Preservation Fund balance is approximately $3 million, with limited borrowing capacity for future projects. A Housing Crisis Prevention application from the Health Department appeared on the agenda but no one was present to support it.
