HUDSON — The Council on Aging voted unanimously to approve the Director's Report documenting comprehensive senior services. Director Janice Long reported 77 tax assistance appointments, 103 SHINE clients served, 15 seniors in the Daybreak respite program receiving 126 caregiver relief hours in February, and 60 participants at a Valentine's luncheon. The Treasurer's Report showed a fiscal 2026 balance of $22,128.35.
Architect Glenn Davis reported the Senior Center roof and deck project completed at $156,649.10, originally bid at $114,600, with all warranties in place for 10 to 15 years of expected use. Mark Dempsey of the Metrowest Center for Independent Living identified transportation service gaps, noting the Senior Center van serves only Hudson and Marlborough during 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and the MWRTA bus operates a two-hour loop with no weekend service.
