HUDSON — Finance Committee voted five FY27 budget line items for the May Town Meeting. Chair Sam Calandra's committee recommended $1,037,434 for the Library, $511,152 for Recreation, $371,691 for Council on Aging (with one abstention), $158,160 for Veterans Services, and $352,141 for Health Services. An amendment to increase Health Services to $375,304 to upgrade a quarter-time nurse position to half-time failed 5-3, with Calandra, Beaudette, and Salomao voting no.

Because more than two committee members disagreed with the 5-3 majority, Hudson's bylaws prevented a standard recommendation for the amendment; the Committee voted unanimously for the original amount of $352,141.
