HUDSON — The Hudson Board of Library Trustees unanimously approved $1,000 in mediation services. The board authorized the expenditure using state aid, with Tom Desmond making the motion and Patti MacMunn seconding; Metrowest Mediation will provide services at $225 per hour with an initial 4-hour cap, beginning with a staff survey. Hudson's library building project moved to number one on the state wait list after Northbridge's project was funded, and Desmond recommended establishing a formal fundraising committee to move the project forward.
The library also launched new services including a drop-in chess club and is planning a monthly Saturday Book Club.
