Library Trustees Approve Public Comment Policy
Hudson Library Trustees unanimously approved a new public comment policy and annual professional development day.
Board of Library Trustees · Meeting of July 7, 2026
Hudson Library Trustees unanimously approved a new public comment policy and annual professional development day. The five-member board voted on July 7 to adopt the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners-recommended policy and to close the library on August 20 for staff training, intended as an annual event. The board discussed its limited role in fundraising for a planned new library — trustees cannot lobby, spend money, or form committees for the effort, though they may share information and the Friends group may help establish a separate fundraising committee.
The board tabled a proposal to expand membership to seven members until November town meeting.
