Hudson's Commission on Disabilities received Select Board approval to use accessible parking violation fees for disability programs. Pam Helinek reported that the town's Accounting office has already established the required separate account. The Commission deferred electing a treasurer and establishing a budget to a later meeting when all members are present.
The Commission also received reports of accessibility barriers in new development: sidewalks in the Lakemont subdivision end in grass and are not wheelchair accessible; grades at a new Dunkin Donuts plaza were flagged as too steep.
