HUDSON — The Hudson Affordable Housing Trust discussed the status of 25 units at risk of losing affordability. David Gasser of the Community Housing and Planning Association reported that Esplanade has 19 units with old deed riders, nine with universal deed riders, and eight that have lost affordability; Knotts Clearing has five old and three universal deed rider units. Chair John M.
Parent said the Trust has sufficient funds to purchase two properties at a time. The Trust also reviewed lessons from purchasing and selling Unit 317 at Esplanade, a transaction that cost $20,000 in discounts and legal fees due to buyer complications, and identified procedures to advertise future properties "as is" and hire realtors.
