Hudson Library Unveils Monthlong "Tour of Québec" Series
The Hudson Library & Historical Society announced a monthlong "Tour of Québec" series set to run through September, pairing in-person events with virtual programs exploring the Canadian province's history, food and culture.

The library's fall programming centers on Québec, opening with an in-person cooking demonstration Saturday, Sept. 19, at 2 p.m., when Ann LoParo of Annie's Signature Sweets will show attendees how to make tarte au sucre, a traditional French-Canadian sugar pie. On Monday, Sept. 21, at 10 a.m., the library will screen "Sounds of Quebec," a documentary on folk ensemble Le Vent du Nord.
The series also includes several virtual sessions streamed on Zoom: a Tuesday, Sept. 1, talk on Québec artwork with the National Gallery of Canada; a Thursday, Sept. 10, program on Indigenous cultures with Montreal's McCord Stewart Museum; a Monday, Sept. 21, virtual book club on the novel "The Home for Unwanted Girls"; and a live virtual tour of Old Québec on Saturday, Sept. 26.
